WELCOME TO THE FUTURE
Last update: 02/03/2010
Welcome to the Globe Arena website. This site will be updated on a weekly basis with photo's and news updates regarding the development.
Good progress continues to be made on site and we remain on target to start the 2010 /11 season from our new home on Westgate. The Globe Arena has become a significant feature of the local area and something we will be proud to be associated with.
Over the past 12 months the Directors of the club have continued to develop our plans for the club's future. As ever we are determined to take the club forward in a manner which is sensible, affordable and sustainable. We have re-examined our business plan and made some prudent changes to the design of the stadium. We have sought to provide new 'income streams' which will be used to support and improve team resources as we progress in the Football League. The more speculative elements of the scheme, such as office space have been postponed until demand for such space becomes more positive and self-financing.
No changes have been made which will impact on our 'match-day' enjoyment.
Our objective in creating the new facility is to ensure the sustainability and success of the club now and for future generations of supporters.
This website will offer you some guidance on what new facilities we are providing and will keep you updated with weekly updates from site including pictures of the work under construction. Other pages will show plans, elevations and layouts of the stands and community changing facility building.
